“Jesus said unto them, ‘I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me will never hunger, and whoever believes in me will never thirst.'” –John 6:35
St Anthony of Padua has a large constituency of traditional homeschoolers in our parish who take their responsibility of passing on the faith to their children seriously. As the first educators of their children, each family is free to choose whatever curriculum they choose to maintain the Catholic family environment they desire. Many families use Our Lady of Grace, Mother Seaton, or Faith and Life. For those who live close enough to the church, they often incorporate daily mass attendance into their daily lives whenever possible. Under Diocesan guidelines, families who choose to home school rather than enroll their children in the parish religious education program should notify the parish leader for religious education so they will know that your children are being properly catechized and be aware when they will be ready to receive the sacraments.

Catholic Schoolhouse
Catholic Schoolhouse was founded in 2007 to enhance education in the grammar stage by providing classical memory work for the Catholic homeschool. Going beyond simple memory work, the developers enlisted experts in all areas of study and a wide variety of resources, Catholic and secular, homeschool and non-homeschool to determine what information is typically encountered during the elementary school years (K-8).
The addition of Upper Level and Pre-grammar programs allow Catholic Schoolhouse to unify your entire family.
Catholic Schoolhouse contains three Tours, which are cycles, not levels, so any child can start with any Tour, any time. This three-year rotation allows students to encounter all the information twice during the elementary years to cement learning and again during the upper level years to go deeper.
Using Catholic schoolhouse in your family is not only possible, it will bring joy and unity to your homeschool! Families begin with the Tour Guide and memory work CD, adding the History Cards to enhance their connection with the timeline and give needed background information. Fine arts and science are not forgotten! Purchase our integrated guides and use the myriad of free resources to create a homeschool that fits your family.
