Sandhills/Moore Coalition for Human Care

… is a state chartered 501c(3) nonprofit corporation established in 1986 by twelve local churches.

St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church is proud to be one of the original founders of the Sandhills Coalition for Human Care.  It's work continues today stronger than ever.

St. Anthony's Charities provides monthly funds to the "Coalition" to continue the urgent mission of "alleviating issues of hunger and financial strains in struggling households of Moore County".

Today the Coalition is supported by over 75 area churches, the United Way of Moore County, individuals, businesses, and civic groups throughout the community. We do not provide direct assistance at our parish office.

Sandhills Coalition Operational Changes
 
Effective Monday, August 30th, The Sandhills Coalition will make the following changes to their Client Services operations:
· Residents requesting assistance will be seen by appointment only.  Residents may call (910) 693-1600 and select option 5 to schedule an appointment.
· Food assistance along with diapers, linens, etc… will be provided by appointment with “drive thru” service. Clothing vouchers will be distributed for residents to shop at our resale shops with their food if needed.
· Financial assistance is available.  We will screen residents over the phone to determine eligibility and define their needs.
· The resale shops continue to operate normally for shopping accepting furniture, clothing, household donations and food donations.
· Food donations continue to be welcome at the Resale shops during their donation hours or at the Client Services location at 1500 W. Indiana Avenue, Southern Pines Monday through Friday from 8:30 am until noon.

Clients must be a resident of Moore County to qualify for Coalition assistance.  Proper documentation required.
